The Lady Bears are coming off a big 6-1 win against Orangefield Tuesday night. So far, they have also defeated Vidor, West Orange-Stark, Lumberton, and Silsbee. Their sole district loss was to Bridge City.

According to senior Shae Fontenot, she and the other seniors aim to be the best possible teammates they can be, as well as good role models for the underclassmen on the team.

“I try and make sure that they are encouraged and they feel like they fit in on the team,” she said.

Senior pitcher Cami Shugart said she and the others have been trying to keep the team’s confidence high and remind them they have the talent to succeed.

The Lady Bears return to action when they play Silsbee at 6:30 p.m. this Friday.
