Junior Adolfo Valdez Sanchez has been a member of the soccer team and he also works for his family business outside of school. He said he looks up to his parents the most.

“They have shown me that hard work pays off and that success takes patience,” he said of his parents.

He said he aims to be a friend to everyone, and he wants to help those who need it.

His favorite quote is, “You will face many defeats in life, but never let yourself be defeated,” by Maya Angelou.

“There are times I have felt defeated, but this quote has reminded me to stay strong and come back better,” he said.

In the future, he wants to graduate high school and attend college. He also wants to make improvements in the world.

In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family and friends, as well as help his family with their business.

Valdez Sanchez’s favorite class this year is engineering.

“It is a very fun and interactive educational class that lets students develop skills for the future,” he said. “We can all make a change in the world if we try. I encourage everyone to think for the good of others and to always be proud to be an LCM Bear.”

According to his English teacher, Kylee Moreland, Valdez Sanchez is a polite student.

“Adolfo brings a brightness to the classroom environment through showing kindness and respect to his teachers and peers,” she said.
