Senior Dwight Davis is an athlete who participates in football, soccer, and track and field. He is also involved in NHS and enjoys hanging out with friends in his free time.

Davis strives to be the type of person young people look up to. He wants to be viewed as someone who is kind to others and a leader to all.

“I try to be the person that all the kindergarteners want to be when they grow up,” Davis said. “I want to be kind and a leader.”

He views his family, friends, and coaches as a few of the most important things in his life, because he wouldn’t be where he is today without them.

In the future, Davis hopes to play football, and potentially run track, at the collegiate level. He then plans on transferring to a division one college to finish out his football career. After college, he plans on landing a successful job or starting a business.

Davis counts his senior year as the best year of high school he’s ever experienced. A couple of his favorite classes are Economics and Biology II. His favorite movies are all of “The Maze Runner” series. He also enjoys reading “The Maze Runner” book series and watching “Stranger Things.”

Davis’s favorite quote is, “A bird sitting on a branch is never afraid of the branch breaking because the belief is not in the strength of the branch, but the strength in its own wings.”

“It’s my favorite quote because it reminds me of who I want to be,” Davis said.

According to Davis’ English IV teacher, Erin Tarver, he is always positive – both in and out of the classroom.

“He moved from Orangefield to LCM during his senior year and has fit in seamlessly,” Tarver said. “He’s a leader on and off the field.”
