Choir Students Compete at Solo and Ensemble, Advance to State
Last Saturday, 18 choir students traveled to Goose Creek Memorial to compete in the Solo and Ensemble contest. 11 of those students made ones and of those, five qualified for State. To qualify for State, a student has to make a one on a class one song. This is the most difficult level of competition. Two of the Choir members willingly traveled two hours on a bus to cheer students on even though they couldn’t compete. Senior Brent Conway and Junior Alyssa Humphrey supported the Choir members as they prepared themselves to sing in front of a judge.
Nikki Mathis, Octavia Weimer, Brenna Mosley, Chandler Peveto, Me Visesio and Caitlyn Sulak all received One’s.
Hannah Hodges, Monica Daleo, Chris Garber, Abigail Turner and Chase Courtier all made One’s and qualified for State.
