Disney’s New Movie “Frozen 2” is a Must See

Taking place three years after the events of the first movie “Frozen,” the new film “Frozen 2” released in theaters Nov. 22, 2019 follows the characters Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, who partake in a journey beyond their Kingdom in Arendelle in order to discover Elsa’s magical powers origins, and save their kingdom from the mysterious voice that calls Elsa’s name.

I would give “Frozen 2,” 4.5 out of 5 stars because underlining everything throughout the movie are positive messages about sisterhood, empowerment, acceptance, tolerance, perseverance, and true love. Both Anna and Elsa are examples of strong women who lead confidently and communicate with and support each other.

Frozen 2 is indeed far different from its predecessor. In the original film every event and its plot line followed the same central idea. The sequel however varies in its threads that don’t all coalesce as pleasing towards the end of the movie.

In addition the movie “Frozen 2” speaks to young viewers that may be beginning to fear change in their lives as they proceed to grow up. Viewers should prepare themselves to hear a line from a Disney princess in the film saying, “hello darkness, I’m ready to succumb.” These words cut deeper than you’d expect as they force its characters within the film to reckon with uncomfortable situations about their past and the privileged world they’ve always enjoyed.

I would recommend the movie “Frozen 2,” because it appealed to all ages. It thoroughly encapsulated the struggle of self-discovery through the use of intense graphics, a theatrical soundtrack, and a ravishing story-line.
