Taylor Fraccastoro Wins VYPE’s Player of the Year
With softball season right around the corner, many news channels and radio stations have been highlighting plays from last year, trying to get everyone hyped up. One radio station that covers local sports, called Vype, recently posted a poll for pre-season softball player of the year, and senior catcher Taylor Fraccastoro made the cut and ended up taking home the prestigious title.
“I was very proud to see that Fracc made it in the poll and I am not surprised because she deserved to be up there,” LCM Softball Coach Dena Adkins said.
With this being Fraccastoro’s last season as a Lady Bear, the winning of the poll was simply the icing on the cake andshe is looking forward to the fast approaching season.
“I’m excited for this upcoming season because I’ll be playing with great girls who have the same passion for the game as I do,” Fraccastoro said.
Adkins is also looking forward to coaching her this season.
“Taylor has become a dynamic player for me over the years,” Adkins said. “She has been a leader on my team statistically for the last two years and I look for her to do even better this year.”
Given it is her senior year, Fraccastoro has big plans for this season.
“Since it’s my last season, I’m going to play all out so I’ll have no regrets when it is over,” she said.
