Senior Jesus Rios plays defense on the varsity boys soccer team and would like to travel to Spain one day to learn more about the art and the culture. In 10 years, he sees himself as a mechanical engineer. He looks up to his parents and spends most of his free time playing soccer and video games.

Rios’ favorite quote is, “You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.” The three most important things to him are his education, his family, and soccer.

“Jesus is such a great kid,” English teacher Erin Tarver said. “I’m so impressed with his amazing work ethic. He’s also so extremely kind.”

According to math teacher Billy Gay Davis, Rios is always very polite in class.

“His work ethic is great and he is very smart,” she said. “He catches on easily and never causes any problems. He always does his work and wants to understand.”
