The Jazz Band will host a ‘Silent Night, Jazzy Night’ concert tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Little Cypress Baptist Church. Guests who have already purchased tickets will get to hear a variety of Christmas jazz music and will be treated to dinner and dessert, prepared by Band Booster Club member Ronda Martin.

The money that is used to purchase tickets for this event will help pay for the school’s private lessons program. The directors are setting out to give the band students who are trying out for region a chance to take a private lesson in order to help and improve their playing.

“As far as the meal, each person can choose either lasagna or chicken alfredo as their main course,” band director Jose Ochoa said. “This will be accompanied with sides, dessert, and drinks.”

The jazz band has a lot in store to perform for the community and has been working hard. All the students are more than excited to perform.

“The Jazz Band will be performing two separate sets of music,” Ochoa said. “In between the sets, students will come around and serve the audience. Our goal is to provide entertainment and help people get in the Christmas spirit.”
