Honey Bears Host Bulls and Barrels Rodeo
The Honey Bear Drill Team will be hosting the 8th annual Bulls and Barrels Rodeo this Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Cowboy Church of Orange County Arena. The gates will open at 5 p.m. and events will start at 7 p.m. The rodeo will consist of bull riding, barrel racing, mutton busting (sheep riding), and a calf scramble.
This is an event to help the Honey Bears raise money for props, future trips and performance tops. The drill team has put in a lot of hard work and preparation into the rodeo, including advertisements and the concession stand.
Along with all of the hard work, the Bulls and Barrels Rodeo is meant to be a fun time for everybody, while supporting the drill team.
“It really is a fun night for the entire family and it is a great way to advertise if you are a business,” Honey Bear adviser Deann Lumpkin said. “We have arena signs and chute signs plus we have a program for business advertisements. Rodeos are lots of fun, especially the mutton busting.”
