The Poetry and Prose team competed at the Hampshire-Fannett UIL Practice Meet on Jan. 11, with five students receiving medals in the final round. Junior Courtney Atherton received fifth place in Prose while senior Jacob Richard won first place in the same category. In Poetry, senior Rebecca Sanford placed second, junior Alex Borel received third place and junior Triston Stringer received fourth place. The team will next compete at the Nederland meet on Jan. 25.
